We’ve all seen the Spotify Wrapped cards flooding our social feeds every December. Now, OpenAI has officially joined the party. This week, they launched "Your year with ChatGPT" a personalized recap that turns your 2025 chat history into a meaningful story of your growth and curiosity.

If you’ve ever wondered what you actually did with AI all year, this is your answer.

What is "Your year with ChatGPT"?

Think of it as a digital mirror. It’s an optional, privacy-focused review that looks back at your conversations to show you how you’ve evolved. It’s not just a bunch of numbers; it’s a breakdown of your "AI personality."

Here is what you’ll find in your recap:

  • Personal archetypes: Are you "The navigator," "The producer," or maybe "The creative debugger"? ChatGPT assigns you a persona based on how your problem solve.

  • Themed awards: You might win the "Instant pot prodigy" or "Expert prompter" badge based on your most discussed topics.

  • Custom pixel art: Based on your interests, ChatGPT generates a unique piece of art that visually represents your year.

  • Usage stats: See your busiest chat day, the total number of messages you sent, and the specific topics that dominated your focus each month.

  • Open the ChatGPT app (iOS, Android, or Web).

  • Look for the "Your year with ChatGPT" banner in your sidebar or home screen.

  • Alternatively, just type: "Show me my year with ChatGPT" directly into the chat.

Note: To be eligible, you must have "Chat History & Training" and "Memory" enabled in your settings.

A note on privacy

OpenAI has kept this "lightweight and user controlled." The experience is entirely optional and won't open automatically. Your data stays within your chat history, and you decide whether or not to share your "awards" with the world.
