The Future of Shopping? AI + Actual Humans.
AI has changed how consumers shop by speeding up research. But one thing hasn’t changed: shoppers still trust people more than AI.
Levanta’s new Affiliate 3.0 Consumer Report reveals a major shift in how shoppers blend AI tools with human influence. Consumers use AI to explore options, but when it comes time to buy, they still turn to creators, communities, and real experiences to validate their decisions.
The data shows:
Only 10% of shoppers buy through AI-recommended links
87% discover products through creators, blogs, or communities they trust
Human sources like reviews and creators rank higher in trust than AI recommendations
The most effective brands are combining AI discovery with authentic human influence to drive measurable conversions.
Affiliate marketing isn’t being replaced by AI, it’s being amplified by it.
Goodbye language barriers: Your regular headphones just became a real-time interpreter
The big upgrade: Translation streaming to your ears
For years, seamless, real-time translation was a sci-fi dream. Google just turned that dream into a reality with a new beta experience that allows you to hear live translations streamed directly into your headphones.
How any headphones become an interpreter
Hardware-agnostic power: This is the game-changer. You don't need dedicated, expensive gadgets. If your wired or wireless headphones connect to your Android phone, they are now an interpreter.
Keeps the human touch: The system preserves the original speaker’s natural tone, emphasis, and cadence. This makes the conversation feel authentic and easy to follow no more awkward screen juggling!
Simple to use: Open the Google Translate app, tap 'Live translate,' and you can follow lectures, movies, or conversations in more than 70 languages.

This beta feature is rolling out now on the Android Translate app in the U.S., Mexico, and India. Looking ahead: Google plans to bring this capability to iOS and more countries in 2026.
The gemini boost: Smarter, more natural translations
The hardware is just the messenger. The real intelligence comes from integrating advanced Gemini capabilities into translate, tackling one of language's toughest challenges: context.
Beyond word-for-word accuracy
Handling idioms and slang: Gemini allows for smarter, more accurate text translations by understanding nuanced meanings. For example, instead of a literal, confusing translation for an idiom like "stealing my thunder," Gemini parses the context to give you the actual meaning.
Real-time, Natural speech: This update ensures translations sound more natural and less like a robot, which is critical whether you're ordering coffee or handling an important business talk.
This update is currently rolling out in the U.S. and India, translating between English and nearly 20 languages, including Spanish, Chinese, and German, across Android, iOS, and the web.

Turn your translator into a tutor
Google is expanding its language-learning tools, transforming the Translate app into a powerful, lightweight tutor.
Expanded practice: English speakers can now practice languages like German, while speakers of Hindi, Chinese, and others can practice English.
Gamified learning: A new feature tracks your daily streak, making it easier to see your progress and stay consistent with your language goals.
Helpful feedback: Get specific tips based on your speaking practice to refine your fluency.
This dual role interpreter and coach makes the app a central hub for all your language needs, helping you communicate today while you build skills for the future.
