The three superpowers your PC just gained

Microsoft's vision for AI PCs boils down to three game-changing abilities:

1. Natural conversation
Talk to your PC like you'd talk to a friend. Type or speak—it gets you either way.

2. Visual understanding
Your PC can now see what's on your screen and guide you through it. Think of it as having a tech-savvy friend looking over your shoulder (but in a helpful, non-creepy way).

3. Action-taking
Here's the big one: your PC can now do things for you. With your permission, of course.

"Hey Copilot" changes everything.

Here's why this matters: 68% of people already use AI for decision-making, but getting AI to help has always been a pain. You need to write the perfect prompt, add context, try again when it doesn't work...

Just say "Hey Copilot" and ask. That's it.

Want to adjust your screen brightness? "Hey Copilot, make my screen easier to read."

Copilot Vision can now see what's on your screen and help you navigate it. Available worldwide, it includes:

• Desktop sharing: Get coaching while editing photos, improving your resume, or learning a new game.

• Highlights: Ask "show me how," and Copilot will literally point and guide you through the app.

• Full context in Office: Analyzing a PowerPoint? Copilot can review the entire deck without you clicking through every slide.

• Text mode coming soon: Prefer typing? Vision will soon work via text chat too.

The future: AI that actually does your work

Microsoft is testing something wild in their Insider program: Copilot Actions.

Imagine asking your PC to "sort my vacation photos" or "extract info from this PDF," and it just... does it. While you grab coffee. Or work on something else.

They're also introducing Manus, an AI agent that can build you a website from your local files with one click. No uploading. No coding. Just right-click a folder and say "create website with Manus."

For gamers, there's Gaming Copilot on the ROG Xbox Ally; press a button mid-game for tips, recommendations, and help without ever leaving your session.

But what about security?

Fair question. Microsoft is making three commitments:

1. You're in control: Copilot Actions is off by default. You can pause, take over, or disable it anytime.

2. Full visibility: You'll see exactly what it's doing. It'll ask permission for sensitive actions.

3. Responsible rollout: They're starting small, gathering feedback, and building safeguards before going wide.

Windows 11 remains their most secure operating system, and they're not compromising on that as AI evolves.

If you're still on Windows 10 (support just ended), now's the time to move. Windows 11 PCs are faster, more secure, and now come with AI built-in.
