The standout feature of this update is Conversation Focus. Using "beamforming" technology and real-time spatial processing, the glasses identify the person talking directly in front of you and amplify their voice.

• Natural flow: It processes sound in real-time, so the conversation feels fluid and natural, not laggy.

• Precision control: You can adjust the amplification level by swiping the right temple of the glasses or using the app.

• Hands-free: You can trigger it instantly by saying, "Hey Meta, start conversation focus," or by setting a "tap-and-hold" gesture on the arm of the glasses.

2. Visual music: Spotify meets computer vision

Meta is also connecting what you see with what you hear. Using AI and the built-in camera, the glasses can now play music that matches your current view.

• Looking at an album cover? It’ll play that artist.

• Looking at your Christmas tree? It’ll cue up holiday music.

• The Command: Just say, "Hey Meta, play a song to match this view."

• Early access: These features are currently rolling out to users enrolled in Meta’s Early Access Program (which has a waitlist).

• Location: The Conversation Focus feature is currently exclusive to the U.S. and Canada.

• Global music: The Spotify integration is wider, launching in English across 19+ markets including the UK, Australia, Brazil, India, and most of Europe.

The bottom line: While Apple’s AirPods have offered similar "Conversation Boost" tech, Meta is bringing this "hearing assist" functionality directly into fashionable eyewear. It's a major step toward AI tools that help us stay more present in the physical world, rather than distracting us from it.
