Spotify is going to clone podcasters’ voices — and translate them to other languages

Spotify is introducing an AI-powered voice translation feature for podcasts, enabling podcasters to instantly translate their content into other languages using their own voice. This technology, powered by OpenAI's Whisper, goes beyond speech-to-text translation by reproducing the podcast in a synthesized version of the podcaster's voice. Initially, Spotify is partnering with select podcasters to translate English-language episodes into Spanish, with plans to expand to French and German translations soon. Enterprise workers gain 40 percent performance boost from GPT-4, Harvard study finds

A Harvard-led study has shown that generative AI significantly improved the performance of consultants at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). The research, involving data scientists and researchers from Harvard, Wharton, and MIT, is one of the first significant studies on real-world generative AI usage in an enterprise. Each path includes a blend of theory and practical experience, such as video courses, hands-on labs, and opportunities to earn skill badges.
